OnlyFans vs Fansly for Subscribers: Where the Catalog Actually Lives

By Cara West · September 25, 2026

OnlyFans vs Fansly, judged from the subscriber’s side, comes down to one fact: the platform with the lower price is often not the platform with the bigger catalog. I compared eight creators who run pages on both sites, and OnlyFans held the larger library four times, Fansly held it three times, and one creator was close to even.

The right choice therefore depends on the creator, not the logo. Below you will find the verified numbers, the structural differences between the two platforms, and a five-step check to run before you pay anyone.

Key Takeaways

  • Neither platform is a safe default: across eight creators I checked on both Fansly and OnlyFans between August 19 and September 21, 2026, OnlyFans held the larger catalog four times and Fansly three.
  • OnlyFans allows one subscription price per page, from $4.99 to $50 a month or free, so creators who want price levels open a second page; Fansly allows several priced tiers on one profile.
  • A cheaper Fansly entry price is not automatically better value: Paris Knight’s Fansly VIP tier cost $25 for 196 media items, while her $9.99 OnlyFans VIP page held 1,626.
  • Compare posted media counts on both profiles before subscribing. Mia Malkova’s Fansly held about 1,400 videos against 125 on OnlyFans, the reverse of the usual backup arrangement.
  • Refunds are rare on both platforms: OnlyFans treats purchases as non-refundable unless its terms were violated, and Fansly generally refuses refunds once content was accessible during the subscription.

Why Does the OnlyFans vs Fansly, Choice Matter to Subscribers?

The OnlyFans vs Fansly, choice matters because a growing number of creators sell on both platforms at different prices, with different amounts of material behind each paywall. Pick the wrong one and you can pay more for less.

The two companies are very different in size. OnlyFans, owned and operated by the UK-based Fenix International Ltd., reported more than 4 million registered creator accounts and 377 million registered fan accounts, according to Variety’s May 8, 2026 report on its $3.15 billion valuation. Fansly is owned and operated by Select Media LLC, a Maryland company, according to its Terms of Service updated July 21, 2026. I could not find an official Fansly user count, and third-party estimates vary so widely that I do not repeat them here.

Creators weigh commission rates and payouts when they pick a platform. A subscriber needs different answers: what the money unlocks, where the full library sits, and what happens if a page goes quiet. In my four years covering hotwife and lifestyle creators, the second platform has become common: 8 of the 13 creators I checked for a Fansly page between August 19 and September 21, 2026 had one.

The short version: the Fansly vs OnlyFans question is a value question, and the answer changes from one creator to the next.

How Do Fansly and OnlyFans Structure Subscriptions Differently?

OnlyFans sells one subscription price per page, while Fansly sells several priced tiers on a single profile. That one design difference explains most of what subscribers see on each platform.

FeatureOnlyFansFansly
Monthly price range$4.99 to $50, or a free page$5 to $499.99

Multi-month plansBundles of two or more months, capped at $250 per bundleDiscounts for 3 or 6 months paid up front
OperatorFenix International Ltd. (UK)Select Media LLC (Maryland, US)

Because OnlyFans allows only one price per page, creators who want a cheap tier and an expensive tier open two pages. Paris Knight runs a free OnlyFans page that sells items individually beside a $9.99 VIP page. Abella Danger pairs a free main page with a $19.99 VIP page. Txhotwife84 runs a free page and a $25.99 couples page. I break down how those free-page arrangements change the real cost in my guide to no-PPV versus pay-per-view OnlyFans pricing.

Fansly creators build the ladder on one profile instead. Fansly’s own help center says creators do not need separate free and paid pages, and it lets a creator cap how many subscribers a tier accepts. The longest ladder in my reviews belongs to Txhotwife84, whose Fansly listed four tiers at $8, $18, $20 and $60 a month on September 9, 2026. HotwifeYouWant listed $9.99, $19.99 and $34.99. Mia Malkova listed $5, $20 and a closed $450 tier, the highest creator price this site has documented.

On OnlyFans the price ladder is spread across separate pages; on Fansly it sits on one profile.

Which Platform Held the Bigger Catalog in Our Eight Two-Platform Checks?

OnlyFans held the larger catalog for four of the eight creators I verified on both platforms, Fansly held it for three, and one creator was close to even. Every figure below was read from the creators’ public profile headers on the date shown, and each links back to the full review.

Ember Rae (Aug 24, 2026)$14.99/mo5,745 media (1,001 videos)$24.99/moAbout 6,000 media (about 1,100 videos)Near even

Three caveats keep the table honest. First, the counts are snapshots, and creators change prices and post daily. Second, Txhotwife84’s main paid OnlyFans page blocked every read attempt, so her comparison uses her free and couples pages; the full story is in my Txhotwife84 review of her six platforms and four tiers. Third, I did not record a post count for FitNaughtyCouple’s OnlyFans page, but the couple’s own website states that some of their content categories are not permitted there and appear only on Fansly and clip stores, as covered in my FitNaughtyCouple Fansly review with verified tiers and prices.

The individual reviews carry the detail behind each row: the WifeLovesBBC two-platform pricing breakdown, HotwifeYouWant’s split Fansly and OnlyFans handles, the Paris Knight review and her empty-handle trap, Abella Danger’s free page and placeholder Fansly, Mia Malkova’s Fansly archive, and Ember Rae’s no-PPV pricing on two platforms.

Five other creators I reviewed in the same period had no verified Fansly page: Phoenix Marie, Maitland Ward, Katrina Colt, Elsa Jean and KittyHotwife69. For them the comparison is moot, and any Fansly account using their names deserves suspicion. My Maitland Ward OnlyFans review shows what a single-platform creator page looks like when verified.

In eight verified two-platform checks, the bigger catalog sat on OnlyFans four times and on Fansly three times, so neither platform can be assumed.

Is Fansly Cheaper Than OnlyFans?

Fansly is sometimes cheaper at the entry level but rarely cheaper per item. Among the creators with directly comparable entry prices, Fansly was cheaper for two, about equal for two, and more expensive for one.

  • Cheaper on Fansly: Mia Malkova ($5 against $9.99) and Paris Knight ($5 against a $9.99 VIP page).
  • About equal: HotwifeYouWant ($9.99 on both) and WifeLovesBBC ($20 against $19.99).
  • More expensive on Fansly: Ember Rae ($24.99 against $14.99).

Entry prices hide the real gap, so I also calculate a cost per 100 media items for pages sold at a single price or an all-access tier. It is a blunt yardstick, since a long video and a single photo count the same, but it exposes differences that headline prices conceal.

PageMonthly costMedia itemsCost per 100 items
Ember Rae, OnlyFans$14.995,745$0.26
Ember Rae, Fansly$24.99About 6,000About $0.42
WifeLovesBBC, OnlyFans$19.991,581$1.26
WifeLovesBBC, Fansly 3-month plan$17.00 equivalent1,244$1.37
Paris Knight, OnlyFans VIP$9.991,626$0.61
Paris Knight, Fansly VIP All-Access$25.00196$12.76

Paris Knight shows the widest gap in the set. Her Fansly VIP tier cost about 21 times more per item than her OnlyFans VIP page on September 21, 2026.

Multi-month plans narrow the gap only partly. WifeLovesBBC’s Fansly three-month plan at $51 was the cheapest way into her catalog, because her OnlyFans page offered no multi-month option, but it carried about 21% less material. Ember Rae’s deepest Fansly discount, six months for $89.96, works out to $14.99 a month, which only matches her undiscounted OnlyFans price. Her OnlyFans 12-month bundle at $143.90 works out to about $11.99 a month.

Fansly’s lower entry price is real for some creators, but per item OnlyFans was the better value in every single-price comparison I could calculate.

Why Do So Many Creators Treat Fansly as a Backup?

Most creators in this niche built their audience on OnlyFans first and keep Fansly as insurance against losing it. That history is sensible. In August 2021 OnlyFans announced a ban on sexually explicit content and then suspended the plan on August 25, 2021 after creator backlash, as Axios reported that day. Creators learned that one platform decision could cut off their income overnight.

Across my eight checks, the Fansly pages fell into four clear patterns:

  • Backup: WifeLovesBBC’s own Fansly bio calls the page “our backup account,” and engagement confirms it, with 201.3K likes on OnlyFans against 14.6K on Fansly.
  • Archive: Mia Malkova’s Fansly describes itself as a library of her less-known and earlier videos, which is why it holds roughly eleven times the video of her OnlyFans.
  • Primary: FitNaughtyCouple treat Fansly as their main paid home and publish categories there that their own site says OnlyFans does not allow.
  • Placeholder: Abella Danger’s Fansly showed 21 followers, zero likes, no posts and the default bio on September 18, 2026.

Each pattern predicts something different for a subscriber. A backup page usually lags behind the main feed. An archive page holds older material rather than new releases. A primary page holds the most, and a placeholder holds nothing at all.

Handles add another trap. HotwifeYouWant sells as hotwifeyouwant on Fansly but as playfulhotwife on OnlyFans, and Paris Knight’s shortest OnlyFans handle belongs to an unrelated empty account. Confirm every handle through the creator’s own linked accounts, a habit I explain in my Elaina St James review and the AI imposter problem.

A creator’s Fansly page can be a backup, an archive, a primary storefront or an empty placeholder, and the bio and engagement numbers usually tell you which.

How Do Discovery, Refunds and Billing Compare on Fansly and OnlyFans?

Fansly offers more in-platform discovery, both platforms treat purchases as close to final, and OnlyFans names itself plainly on card statements. The official help pages spell out the details.

IssueOnlyFansFansly

RefundsSubscriptions, tips, streams, paid posts and paid messages are non-refundable unless the Terms of Service were violatedGenerally non-refundable if content was accessible; may be considered if a creator fails to deliver and blocks the fan; approved refunds go to the Fansly balance

Age verificationRequired where local law demands it, including the UK since July 25, 2025Required in specific US states, the UK, Australia, Germany and Brazil

The refund rules deserve a closer read. Fansly’s help center, updated July 8, 2026, says approved subscription refunds are credited to your Fansly balance, so the money usually stays on the platform. It also refuses refunds when a user cannot complete a legally required age check.

Couples who subscribe together from a shared card should both know what will appear on the statement, since OnlyFans says its charges show the OnlyFans name or the letters OF. Agreeing on shared subscriptions openly is part of the same privacy planning I cover in my digital privacy guide for hotwife and swinger couples.

Fansly is easier to browse, but neither platform gives a subscriber an easy refund, so the checking has to happen before you pay.

How Should You Decide Where to Subscribe?

Decide by checking the creator’s own pages on both platforms before paying, not by picking the platform you already use. These five steps take a few minutes and prevent most of the costly mistakes I see.

1. Confirm the handles. Start from the creator’s verified X account, link page or website, and follow those links to both profiles. Do not trust directory listings. 2. Compare the counts. Both platforms show posts, photos, videos or media totals on the public profile. Note the video count separately if video is what you want. 3. Read the tier descriptions. On Fansly, check what each tier includes. Mia Malkova’s $20 VIP tier includes complimentary pay-per-view content, which changes its value completely. 4. Price the commitment you will actually make. If you plan to stay for a quarter, compare the three-month plans. If you plan one month, compare the single-month prices. 5. Look for the backup signal. A bio that calls a page a backup, or a large engagement gap between the two profiles, tells you which page gets the new material first.

If the counts and prices are close, start on the platform where you already hold an account. Ember Rae’s near-identical catalogs make that the sensible tiebreaker, since her Fansly offered no subscriber-side advantage.

The best subscription is the one where your money reaches the larger, current catalog, and only a side-by-side check of both profiles reveals which one that is.

Only at the entry level for some creators. In my eight two-platform checks, Fansly’s lowest tier was cheaper for two creators, about equal for two, and $10 more for one. Per item, OnlyFans was usually the better value: Paris Knight’s Fansly VIP tier cost about 21 times more per media item than her OnlyFans VIP page.

Yes. Fansly lets fans follow a profile at no cost and see the posts a creator opens to followers, then subscribe to a paid tier later on the same profile. OnlyFans handles free access differently: a creator runs a separate free page or offers a time-limited free trial on a paid page.

Rarely. OnlyFans says subscriptions, tips, streams, paid posts and paid messages are non-refundable unless its Terms of Service were violated. Fansly says subscriptions are generally non-refundable if the content was accessible, may consider a refund when a creator fails to deliver and blocks you, and credits approved refunds to your Fansly balance.

Usually because the Fansly page is a backup. WifeLovesBBC’s own Fansly bio calls it “our backup account,” and it held about 21% fewer media files than her OnlyFans. The pattern can reverse: Mia Malkova’s Fansly held roughly 1,400 videos against 125 on OnlyFans, so compare both profiles before paying.

Yes. They are separate companies, with OnlyFans operated by Fenix International Ltd. in the UK and Fansly by Select Media LLC in Maryland, so each needs its own login and payment method. Both apply age verification where the law requires it, including in the UK since July 25, 2025.

So Which Is Better for Subscribers, Fansly or OnlyFans?

Fansly vs OnlyFans is a creator-by-creator decision: OnlyFans held the bigger catalog in four of my eight verified checks, Fansly in three, and a cheaper entry price was no reliable guide to where the larger library sat. Check both profiles, compare the counts, and pay where the current catalog lives.

For the other half of the cost question, read my breakdown of what a no-PPV hotwife subscription really costs. If you are on the other side of the paywall and weighing whether to sell at all, my couples’ guide to starting a hotwife OnlyFans covers the decisions to make first, and my older LoyalFans vs OnlyFans comparison covers a third platform some creators use.
